[lang_ie]Comhghairdeas le foireann peil f-16 Coláiste na Carraige a bhain Craobh an Contae ar na mallaibh nuair a bhuail siad Carn Domhnach leis an scór 2-6 in aghaidh 0-7. Faoi bhainisteoir Paddy Boyle, bhí siad ar fad chun tosaigh ar fhoireann an Carn Domhnaigh agus cinnte dearfach, dá mbeadh siad gan an liathróid a chuir ar fóraoil chomh minic agus a rinneadh, bheadh an difríocht i bhfad níos mó ar an scór. Tá píosa deas anseo sa pháipéar an
Democrat a dhéanann cuir síos níos mionna ar an ócáid.
Mar gheall ar an chluiche ceannais bainte acu, bhí ag Coláiste na Carraige imirt sa Chluiche Ceathrú Ceannais i gCúige Uladh cúpla lá ina dhiaidh sin. Cé gur imir siad go maith ar an lá, bhí foireann Naomh Iósaf as Baile Oileán an Ghuail, Tír Eoghain níos láidre agus bhí an lá leo leis an scór 0-11 go 0-07. Is mór an trua go raibh an cluiche sin ann go gasta tar éis an chinn eile ach mar sin is Seaimpíní iad, Coláiste na Carraige sa Chontae seo agus Ádh mór oraibh.[/lang_ie]
[lang_en-uk]Congratulations to the u-16 Coláiste na Carraige team who recently won the County Title beating Carndonagh with a scoreline of 2-6 to 0-7. Under manager Paddy Boyle, they were dominant throughout and indeed if they hadn’t had as many wides on the day, the winning margin would have been greater. There is a nice article here in the Democrat, that gives a deeper review of the occasion.
As a result of their achievement in winning the County Title, Coláiste na Carraige had to face a strong opponent 3 days later at Celtic Park, Derry in St. Joseph’s from Coalisland, Tyrone in the Quarter Final Ulster U-16 and although Coláiste na Carraige played well and gave a good account of themselves, their opponents eventually won 0-11 to 0-7. It’s a pity that such an important game came so quickly after the other one but nonetheless they are worthy Champions here and Well Done.[/lang_en-uk]
