Thirteen of the nineteen Co Donegal entries to this year’s BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition are from four Donegal ETB schools. Projects have been entered by Coláiste Ailigh, Letterkenny (5); Coláiste Chineál Eoghain, Buncrana (1); Deele College, Raphoe (1) and Magh Ene College, Bundoran (6) in a number of categories including Biological and Ecological; Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences; Social and Behavioural Sciences and Technology.
The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is considered ‘much more than a competition; it is an unforgettable experience of a lifetime for the students who take part’, according to the organisers. The Exhibition itself is the final stage in the competition, which is open to all second level students from Ireland, both north and south. As well as the student projects on display, there are a further four exhibition halls filled with science and technology based exhibits and entertainment, making it a thrilling event for those who entered and for general visitors too.
The event takes place this week in the RDS, Dublin. You can read the full list of qualified projects here. To find out more about the Exhibition, check out this video.
