Donegal ETB will hold the inaugural meeting of its County Parents Forum on Tuesday 7 November 2017. This is a forum for Donegal ETB Parents Associations.
The aim of the forum is to enhance the quality of Donegal ETB schools and further education provision and to improve communication between Donegal ETB, as the management body for fifteen post-primary schools and a further education provider, with parents and guardians through working in partnership.
The Forum also aims to provide parents and guardians of students attending Donegal ETB schools with a Forum at which to receive reports, to discuss issues and proposals and to formulate recommendations to Donegal ETB, executive and policy agencies. Additionally it aims to raise the general awareness of Donegal ETB school-based education provision among the people of Donegal and to provide a mechanism for the nomination of Parents Representatives for appointment to the Board of Donegal ETB under the provisions of the ETB Act 2013 in conjunction with the National Parents Council Post Primary (NPCPP).
The Forum will consist of three parent representatives of each of its fifteen schools, together with the elected Parent Representatives on the Board of Donegal Education and Training Board.
