[lang_ie]Rinneadh Stair ar an tseachtain seo caite nuair a bhí an bua ag Coláiste na Daoile ag an Fhéile Drámaíochta do Scoileanna an Dara Leibhéal don chéad uair riamh. Ba é seo a chéad uair don scoil Trófaí Anthony Timoney a bhaint agus ar ndóigh an chéad uair an ceann is deacra.Ba é an léiriú a rinneadh nó píosa grinn a bhí bunaithe ar an chlár teilifíse Dragon’s Den agus tugadh an t-ainm “An Lions Lair” air. Ní hamháin go raibh an Coláiste mar phríomhbhuaiteoirí ar an oíche ach fós bronnadh triúr gradam : (1) An tAisteoir is Fearr (Katie Porter), (2) Aisteoireacht is Fearr mar Ghrúpa (Eoin Callaghan, Martin Towey agus Sean Friel), agus gradam (3) Don Stiúrthóir is Fearr (an múinteoir an tUasal Hogan). Thug na moltóirí fós ar an oíche ardchaighdeán do roinnt aisteoirí eile (Danielle McElroy agus Eimear Friel ina measc) agus bhí le feiceáil go raibh siad ag baint an-sult as na róil a bhí acu agus na mothúcháin ag dul trasna fhad leis an lucht féachana.
Bhí comórtas an-iomaíoch ann ar an oíche le macasamhail Choláiste Naomh Columba, Srath an Urláir, Pobalscoil Chloich Cheann Fhaola, An Fál Carrach, Coláiste Cholmcille, Béal Átha Seanaidh agus Clochar Loreto, Leitir Ceanainn ina measc agus bhain cuid acu amach gradaim éagsúla fós. Mar sin féin, is cinnte go raibh an bua tuillte ag Coláiste na Daoile agus go mbeidh siad ar ais san Amharclann an Bhalor i mBealach Féich ar an bhliain seo chugainn leis an trófaí seo bainte a chosaint.[/lang_ie]
[lang_en-uk]History was made last Thursday night when Deele College captured the prestigious Anthony Timoney trophy awarded to the overall winners of the Co. Donegal Secondary Schools Drama Festival winners. This was their first time to lift the much coveted cup and hopefully won’t be the last. Their winning play was a comic piece “The Lions’ Lair” based on the popular TV programme Dragons’ Den. Not alone did the College emerge winners they also received 3 other awards: Best Actress (Katie Porter), Best Ensemble Acting (Eoin Callaghan, Martin Towey and Sean Friel) and Best Director (teacher Mr. Hogan). The adjudicator praised the acting of the other cast members (Danielle McElroy and Eimear Friel) and pointed out it was clear they were enjoying their roles and transmitted this to the audience.
Very strong opposition from St. Columba’s College Stranorlar, Falcarragh Community School, Colaiste Cholmcille Ballyshannon and Loreto Convent Letterekenny were also on stage picking up other awards. However it is fair to say that Deele College swept the boards and will be back next year in the Balor Theatre Ballybofey to defend their newly won title.[/lang_en-uk]
