[lang_ie]Seachtain inniu (4 Bealtaine) bhí a lán daoine cruinnithe ag an sean-tech (Ionad Oideachais Aosaigh & Oiliúna i mBaile Dhún na nGall) le páirt a ghlacadh san ócáid spraíúil seo le tacaíocht do Shealaíocht don Bheatha, Dhún na nGall. Bhí Martina, Geraldine agus Patricia gnóthach sa chistin ag fáil réidh bia blasta agus tae agus caife do gach duine nuair a thiocfadh siad ar ais ón spraoi. Bhí an Príomhoifigeach Feidhmiúcháin, Máire Áine Uí Chatháin i láthair fós agus bhí sí an-tógtha leis an fhreagairt ar an lá. Thug sí buíochas don fhoireann san Ionad, na mic léinn agus don phobal áitiúil go ginearálta as an ócáid bhreá rathúil a chuir ar fáil. Dúirt sí -“Rinne iarracht agus flaithiúlacht gach duine an ócáid go hiontach., go háirithe ag am nuair atá an oiread ócáidí d’fháthanna fiúntacha ar thaobh gníomhaíochtaí tiomsaithe airgid amuigh sa phobal”.
Tá a lán ócáidí eagraithe ag an Choiste Gairmoideachais sna hionaid uile ar fud an chontae agus iomlán síntiúis ag dul fhad le Sealaíocht don Bheatha. Bhí Club Rothaíocht Bá Dhún na nGall i láthair fós agus thug siad tacaíocht agus treoir do na 25 a bhí ag rothaíocht agus 35 eile a bhí páirteach sa tsiúlóid. Tá le feiceáil sna pictiúir thíos go dearna Martin Gormley gach iarracht fáil imithe ar Caroline an iarraidh seo ach níor éirigh leis – cé nach raibh a fhios ag Caroline cén bealach a bhí leis in amanna.
Bhí lá an-spraíúil ann ar fad agus bualadh bos do gach aon duine a bhí ann agus bhí éileamh iontach ar an chaife agus na cácaí milis ag filleadh dóibh.

[lang_en-uk]Last Friday (4th May) a large turnout of people assembled at the AETC Donegal Town to participate in the event in aid of Relay for Life, Donegal. The coffee morning was in full swing with Martina, Geraldine and Patricia busy with the home baking and preparing for the challengers on their return. Mary Ann Kane, CEO of Co.Donegal VEC was present and delighted with the response and she thanked the staff, students and the wider community for their effort in making this event so successful. She said : “The effort and generosity of everyone involved has made this event a resounding success, and at a time when there are so many other fundraising events in the community for so many worthy causes.” Co.Donegal VEC has organised events in many of their centres throughout the county with all proceeds being donated to Relay for Life.
Members of Donegal Bay Cycling Club were also present on the day to lead out the approx. 25 cyclists and the 35 walkers who had assembled. The few pictures show how in one scene Martin Gormley making an effort to get away from Caroline O’Rourke but didn’t succeed as Caroline was close behind although at times not knowing which way to go.
A great day’s fun was had by all with great team spirit present throughout the centre and a big thank you to all who contributed to the event in any way.
Well Done![/lang_en-uk]
